We Are Looking For: Asia Pacific Sales Consultants

Location: Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Sydney (or Remote)

The Opportunity

We are looking for sales consultants to help us introduce our products, and in particular our InTouch FX information service, to institutional clients across the Asia-Pacific region.

We recently extended the coverage of our FX service to include Asian markets and hours after hiring two new senior analysts based in Singapore.  We are now keen to grow our footprint in the region and show the service to as many relevant potential clients as possible.  We strongly believe that we have the best products in their respective sectors.  Our FX product has just won Profit and Loss Magazine’s 2020 award for best 3rd Party Research.

We would like to work with individuals with strong relationships and connections to locally based bank, fund and brokerage FX sales and trading desks in the Asia-Pacific region who would be happy to leverage these relationships to help us grow more quickly.  Sales experience and relationships with market data teams of these potential clients would be a bonus.

This is an opportunity to work with us initially as a consultant rather than a salaried or full time employed position.  We will offer a modest monthly retainer fee and a generous split of fees from clients you introduce.  This could be a short term contract or develop into a long term relationship.

What is the InTouch FX Service?

InTouch FX provides intraday, highly time sensitive information, analysis and colour on all drivers of G10 and Emerging Market FX to traders, portfolio managers, sales and strategists.  It is a professional, premium service primarily targeted at and used by institutional clients including banks, hedge funds, brokers and traditional money managers.  The product covers 24 hours a day though the trading week, has a strong and growing client base in Europe and the Americas and is already generating significant interest in the Asia Pacific region where we have just launched.

Your Role

You will be a sales consultant for InTouch Capital Markets in the Asia Pacific region.  You will work very closely with our team in Singapore, plus our product heads and COO in London, to coordinate our sales efforts.

You will introduce our company and services to traders, PMs, strategists, treasurers and sales people at banks, hedge funds, asset managers and brokers based across the Asia Pacific region or in one of the specific financial centers within the region.  Given the first product we have launched in the region is our FX service, we are particularly focused on reaching out to FX market professionals.  You will explain what we do and how our products can add value for the client.  You will help interested parties get set up for free trials of our services.

You will gather feedback from prospective clients during and after the free trial period and, ultimately, help the client determine the best package of our services for their needs and agree a subscription.

Your Skills and Attributes – Will You Fit in this Role?

You have strong existing relationships and connections into trading desks and funds in one or more of the Asia Pacific financial centers.  You have either direct experience working with these individuals/desks or can demonstrate prior success in selling other services into these desks.

You have a strong understanding of the FX markets and its major drivers.  You understand what’s important to professional market participants in this space and how our service can help them.

You can work seamlessly and effectively in a team but are also self-motivated, able to diligently perform your role without the need for micro managing.

You have strong communication skills, can compose emails and write professionally and speak professionally on the phone and in in-person meetings.

You can speak and write English to a first-language standard
